How to use Twitter?

Nowadays, Twitter is one of the most well-known social network.
Nevertheless, it is considered “difficult to use” by many people.
Why?

Because it is full of contents and initially, it could seems very different from the other socials, such as Facebook or Instagram.

What can you do with Twitter?
Generally you can do two main things:
1. Follow people and read their news
2. Participate in discussions with others, through retweet, mentions, hashtags, etc

When you start to follow people, twitter will appear easily to use: you just have to see the homepage and read the news. However, when you start to follow a large amount of users the situation changes: it is impossible to stay too much time on this social trying to read every single information!
So how to avoid this overload of posts?

The solution to this problem is in the lists. You can use lists to group people talking about certain topics, for instance politics, food, travel, daily news and so on.

You can organize an unlimited number of lists, but also in this case you should not exceed.
In fact, also lists could have their own problems.
Why?

Because to see your list you have to make at least 3 passages. It is too much annoying because one of the basis of a social network should be efficiency.

Despite these disadvantages many people keep using Twitter. What is the main reason?
