Do you like pancakes?
They are one of the most famous desserts. Fluffy and light, they?re usually eaten with the addition of maple syrup. Furthermore, they are very tasty with the addition of melted chocolate or hazelnut cream!
Pancakes are one of the symbols of the traditional American breakfast, which can be enjoyed at the tables of a cafe or of a bakery. However, if you don’t have the possibility to make breakfast outside, you can easily prepare them at home.
Let’s discover their recipe!
Ingredients for 12 Pancakes:
25 g of butter
125 g of 00 flour
2 eggs
200 g of milk
6 g of yeast powder for cakes
15 g of sugar
Method:
Firstly, melt the butter over low heat, then leave it to cool.
Meanwhile, divide the egg whites from the yolks.
Pour the egg yolks in a bowl and whisk with a hand whisk, then add the melted butter at room temperature and the flush milk, while continuing to stir with the whip. Whisk the mixture until it’ll become clear.
Add the yeast to the flour and sift into the bowl with the egg mixture, stir with a whisk to mix.
Now whip the egg whites that have kept aside, pouring sugar little by little and when they are white and fluffy embed them gently to the egg, with movements from top to bottom, to avoid removing them.
Put on medium heat to warm (not high otherwise you will not give the dough time to rise well during cooking pancakes and they become too dark) a large nonstick skillet (preferably with a thick bottom) and, if it is necessary, grease it with a little butter spread on the surface with the aid of kitchen paper. Pour in the center of the pan a ladle of preparation (there is no need to spread it).
When the bubbles begin to appear on the surface and the base will be golden, turn it on the other side by means of a spatula, as if it was like a crepe or an omelet, and then browned in turn also the other side, after which the pancakes will be ready.
Continue so with the rest of the dough and man hand arrange the pancakes on a platter, pile them one above the other. With these doses should form approximately 12 pancakes. Serve warm, sprinkled with maple syrup.
Finally, you can decorate the pancakes with fresh fruit, syrup or nutella.
